Preparation

To help you prepare for CO2RE treatment, we will give you personalized instructions. These will include tips to make your procedure easier and more beneficial, and precautions to avoid discomfort and complications. Depending on your medical history, we may prescribe an antiviral medication to avoid its recurrence after treatment. If you smoke or use nicotine products, you should quit for two weeks before your first appointment and throughout the treatment process. The effects of nicotine can affect your ability to heal, which could diminish the results of your vaginal rejuvenation treatment. 

CO2RE Procedure

The CO2RE Intima procedure is remarkably easy. Each treatment session takes about ten to fifteen minutes to complete. You do not need to receive anesthesia, though we will administer a numbing agent to the area to prevent any potential discomfort. One of our skilled practitioners will use the CO2RE Intima device to meticulously target the areas of your vagina that need rejuvenation, leaving the surrounding areas untouched. When the procedure is complete, you can leave our office and go on about your day. 

Recovery

As you begin to heal, you may feel some increased sensitivity and swelling in the treatment area. Over-the-counter pain medication should be enough to alleviate these symptoms. Applying a cool compress will help to soothe the area and reduce swelling. Try to avoid any rough contact or scratching that may worsen your symptoms. You should refrain from sexual intercourse for a week after your treatment, or until you feel comfortable. The majority of the healing process should be completed one to two weeks after your procedure. 

Results

Most patients require three CO2RE Intima sessions to achieve satisfactory results. Because laser resurfacing works through a natural healing process, your results will reveal themselves gradually.
