DermFx is a Platinum Club Level Restylane injector!
Restylane is the one of the world’s most widely used cosmetic dermal fillers. Restylane delays the signs of aging by restoring a youthful skin appearance. It is made up of a gel like substance called hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in our body providing fullness and elasticity to our skin. Over time our skin loses the hyaluronic acid. When this happens our skin loses volume and increases our chance for a wrinkle or fold to appear. Hyaluronic acid binds with water in your skin to lift and restore the skin’s natural elasticity and volume. Restylane works together with the body’s own hyaluronic acid and joins forces to create volume and smooth out wrinkles to give us a more youthful appearance.

Is Restylane safe?Restylane is FDA approved for injecting into the facial tissues for the purpose of smoothing out folds and wrinkles. Restylane is made of non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA) gel; therefore there is no need for an allergy skin test. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane is a natural substance already present in our body.
How long does it last?A Restylane treatment is long lasting but not permanent. The effect is individual and depends on many factors. The procedure can be effective for up to nine months. DermFx recommends that you plan for regular future visits to maintain the result. This has been shown to increase a lasting result.
How is the treatment performed? To maximize patient comfort, DermFx uses a local numbing medication before the treatment. Restylane is injected directly into the skin slowly and safely in small amounts. The gel produces volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out. Restylane adds volume and shape to the treated area enhancing lips and facial contours. The treatment generally takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area. Restylane is approved for treating facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Restylane can be used in lines around the eyes, mouth, smile lines on the cheeks, chin indentations and frown lines between the eyebrow. Restylane enhances lips to create more shape and give a natural soft fullness.
How soon can I expect results? The results are instantaneous!
Are there any side effects?Occasionally patients may experience swelling, itching, redness, or tenderness in the treated area. These are quite normal and will usually dissolve in one to two days. Swelling may take longer to dissolve for lip injections. With any injection there is a risk for a bruise at the injection site. It is recommended to avoid taking aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, St. Johns Wort and high doses of Vitamin E supplements for one week after treatment. These may increase bruising and bleeding at the injection site.
How long is the recovery time? There is little to no down-time involved in a Restylane procedure. Most patients return to their normal, daily activities right after their visit. Every patient is unique so be sure to discuss your plans with the staff at DermFx in your consultation. Avoid touching the treated area within six hours following the treatment so you do not accidently injure your skin while the area is numb. Cold compresses may be used immediately after treatment to reduce swelling.
What is the difference between Restylane and other fillers?
Restylane separates itself from the other fillers in that it was the first hyaluronic dermal filler made up of non-animal hyaluronic acid. It has been clinically tested the longest. The difference between the hyaluronic acid fillers is the thickness and size of the gel particle. To achieve optimal results, DermFx chooses the product that best matches your skin and your personal needs.
